We are extremely pleased to announce this year’s Giro della Donna special guest,
Mark Renshaw
From his BMX days on Bathurst Sportsground to becoming a cycling legend, Mark's journey is truly inspiring. His early track successes, including a 2002 Commonwealth Games world record, set the stage for an extraordinary road racing career. Partnering with sprinter Mark Cavendish, they achieved iconic victories, such as the 2009 Champs-Elysees finish.
Mark's illustrious career spans 16 years on the UCI World Tour, with highlights like winning the Tour of Qatar in 2011 and numerous stage victories in prestigious races. Retiring in 2019 after 10 Tour de Frances, Mark leaves behind a legacy as one of cycling's greatest lead-out men.
In the 2024 Tour de France, Mark played a pivotal role in supporting his former teammate, Mark Cavendish, as Cavendish pursued his 35th stage win. Mark's expertise and experience were instrumental in helping Cavendish achieve this monumental milestone, further cementing their legendary partnership and demonstrating Mark's enduring impact on the sport.
Join us at the Serata Coppi Event, with conversations led by Simon Gerrans, as we unpack Mark Renshaw's remarkable journey.

We’ve named the evening, ‘Serata Coppi’, in honour of Il Campionissimo, the champion of champions Italian cyclist, Angelo Fausto Coppi. An excellent climber and time trialist, Coppi was also a great sprinter. He won the Giro d'Italia five times, the Tour de France twice, as well as the World Championship in 1953. Other notable results include winning the Giro di Lombardia five times, the Milan–San Remo three times, and wins at Paris–Roubaix and La Flèche Wallonne and setting the hour record (45.798 km) in 1942.
